Course Materials
There really aren't any required books, but you might want to consider buying
one of the following two books.
Core Web Programming, by Marty Hall and Larry Brown, 2nd edition. It's published
by Sun. It's a pretty good book and has a lot of the stuff we're going to cover - not all but
quite a bit. It's somewhat Java heavy, but if you don't know Java very well, it would cover Web
stuff and Java
Programming the World Wide Web, by Robert Sebesta, 2nd edition. This one has much less
focus on Java and is a major improvement to the first edition. Don't bother with the first
edition, it's mostly useless. The second edition covers MySql pretty good. There's nothing
in the first edition.
